Alas the day has come and gone
when the bush stood large and strong.
We cut it down, we cut it down
all the way down to the ground.
It's dead, it's dead, the bush is dead.
Long live the bush, the bush is dead.
half gone
all gone..-
I'm almost sorry I cut the bush down. I think it looked better with it there. But.... the blooms were so overpowering. The pollen from them would literally make me sick each spring. And the yellow jackets loved this bush. So... with my son's help (he did it all) I cut it down.
If you didn't get the root, it will grow back. Sad. it looks a little bare. Where will the humming birds hide? But I guess it's cleaner with it gone. J
ReplyDeleteI rarely had or have humming birds here. Wish I did. I do have four other fairly good sized bushes. Need to trim them, but not going to cut them all the way down like this one. We do have birds that nest in them. I had planned to kill the root on this one, but not going to now. It will grow back.
